Hi, I’m Wesley

I’ve been working with couples and individuals for over 10 years, and I love what I do. I’m a certified Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy Therapist and Supervisor and work using mainly Emotionally-Focused Therapy. Every couple is a little different though, so I bring in other methods as needed.

Throughout my work, I’ve seen many couples hit roadblocks to the relationship they want because one or both partner is neurodiverse. This can mean ADHD, Autism/Aspergers, Highly Sensitive Perception, and other ways of being that don’t fit into a category. By no means do all relationship issues come from neuro-differences, but I don’t think neurodiversity is considered nearly enough in couples therapy.

At my core, I have such a curiosity about people. There’s a quote I love from Doctor Who, when the T.A.R.D.I.S. takes the form of a woman, and asks, “Are all people like this? So much bigger on the inside?” And I think - yes! We really all are. I am endlessly intrigued and inspired and heartbroken by what humans have within us.

I live with my husband Matt and our french bulldog, Henry. I grew up in California, and have lived in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Virginia, and now North Carolina.

I love my work and my clients. I feel honored to be invited into people’s relationships and families.
